Okami [Wii] Announcement
Okami is a beautiful game.  It is such a shame it did not receive the attention it deserves.  The Wii Port will give Okami a well deserved second chance, and the Wii Remote is ideal for this game.  The Wii is perfect for this game in fact, and it should have been released on it exclusively.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl – Sonic Revealed
Finally!  Mario and Sonic get to fight it out.  (The Olympics don’t count!)  Long time fans of both franchises are going to have a lot of fun with this.

Bionic Commando
This really surprised me!  I never thought of a sequel to good ol Bionic Commando.  The cinematic looks nice, but I would like to see more of the combat and game mechanics.

I used to play the Mario Kart series a lot, and also Diddy Kong Racing.  It has been a while, so I am looking forward to playing another Kart Racing game, especially from Nintendo.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Always been a huge fan of the series.  It’s so much fun, especially playing with your mates!  I played Melee a lot more than the original.  Brawl is looking to give more of the same plus heaps more, it should be awesome!

Wow…just wow. Monty Oum is a game fan video maker, who became famous for “Haloid”, which pit Samus Aran against Master Chief, in an epic battle. However, this post is on his new fan video named Dead Fantasy I, and I just watched it and was totally blown away! This time it is female Final Fantasy characters against female Dead or Alive characters! You just need to watch it to understand how amazing it is. Right at the end, when the last combatant was revealed, I was expecting a different character, but I am sure this was done on purpose, but the choice was freaking awesome and I can’t wait for part II! I will put Haloid below as well. Monty Oum is brilliant, and he hasn’t even gone professional yet. Enjoy!

This should be a regular kind of post, since I am a video game fan. I will simply post a few game trailers of interest that I have come across recently, and maybe give a little commentary.

Guilty Gear 2 Overture
Ever since Street Fighter 2, I’ve been a huge fighting game fan, especially 2D fighters, even when 3D games came into existence. The original Guilty Gear game and all of its variations, breathed new life into the dying genre, by using amazing, beautiful, fluid animations and artwork. They are finally giving us a sequel that bears the “2″, however it is not what anyone expected. Instead of it being a 2D or even a 3D traditional fighting game, it appears to be going in the Dynasty Warriors direction, taking on hordes of enemies and running around stages. This of course, created an uproar within the loyal Guilty Gear community, but who knows, it may end up being a good change. It is not like this means the series will never go back to its roots. I am willing to give this game a fair chance, before judging it too early.

Zak & Wiki
This game simply looks like so much fun, and so cute! I’ve missed Adventure games of the 90’s. I have recently played the new Sam & Max series, which was pretty brilliant. I also noticed Germany have a ton in development, which is awesome. Anyways, Zak & Wiki looks to be an Adventure hybrid of sorts, and will use the Wii’s motion sensing technology, which is perfect for Adventure games. I love the art direction, and character designs too. It has been a while since I have played a cutesy themed game, so it will be a welcome change.

Soul Calibur Legends
This is basically the same story as Guilty Gear 2 Overture! Except, Soul Calibur brought stunning 3D visuals to the fighting game genre. I think this has a lot of potential, since the normal games have a great game engine to be tweaked for a beat ‘em up. The normal games have an adventure mode, so this is like a few steps further in that direction! Multiplayer would be fun, I hope they get this right.

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
LOL, I don’t care much for the actual game, I just think the trailer is hilarious! I am surprised they even had Rugby Union and the All Black’s Haka in it, as a lot of people in America for example would have no idea on them. No, that is not racist! It is the name of New Zealand’s Rugby Union team, and the Haka is a Maori Warcry that they perform before each match.

I’m a big Final Fantasy fan. VII in particular, holds a special place in my gaming heart, as it was what really got me into the series. Us fans have been waiting on a remake of Final Fantasy VII for many years now, and the 10th anniversary of the game seemed like a good time for it to pop up, but it hasn’t. There have been some spin-offs so far, but nothing very special. The new prequel, Crisis Core, however, is looking very promising. I just wish it wasn’t only on PSP. Anyways, below is GameTrailers excellent preview of the game, since it has been released in Japan so far.
