Simply amazing painting of a Phoenix, named Blazing River, by ShadowUmbre.
Cute Virtual Dog
I was pointed in the direction of this cute virtual dog, that you can give commands. It is basically prerecorded video footage, with preset text commands that trigger corresponding segments of video to play. Ultimately it is advertising for Heartgard. Anyways, it is still fun, very cute, and sure to put a smile on your face! I discovered the following commands: sit, roll, down, stand, sing, dance, shake, fetch, play dead, jump, circle, kiss. If you find anymore, leave a comment!
Kodiak Bear Attack
This is part of a National Geographic documentary on a Kodiak Bear attack. Nobody had been killed in over 70 years, until this incdident. I don’t like the fact they were hunting. It is sad that someone died, but they did know the risks. When you enter the wild, your life is in danger, like every other animal, as we are all part of the food chain.

Random Image – WildSpiritWolf – Chu To You
I am going to start sharing random images with you! The first is a cute painting of two wolves, by WildSpiritWolf. It was actually painted using the juice of berries found in the yard.
Japanese Honey Bees Vs. Asian Giant Hornet
This is truly amazing. Japanese Honey Bees have evolved and formed a team defense system against the largest hornet in the world, the Asian Giant Hornet. I will just let you watch it for yourself!

Gabon – The Fight Against Poachers
The Gabonese Republic, or Gabon, is a country in west central Africa. It borders on Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Republic of the Congo and the Gulf of Guinea. It is home to a wide range of animals which are under serious threat from poachers. It is great to see that steps are being taken to fight back for the beautiful wildlife.
Dog Whisperer – Firehouse Mascot
I haven’t actually watched much of Dog Whisperer on TV. Instead, I have mainly been watching clips of the show on YouTube, which have been enough for me, as I believe each week several key principles and tactics are repeated on the new dog. I am not saying the show is bad, in fact, I find it really entertaining. I just prefer to allocate my time to other things instead. I have studied Dogs a lot and how to train them too, so it seems redundant to keep watching entire episodes. I have a 5 month year old Bichon Frise puppy which I train each day using similar techniques. Anyways, below is a summary of the show, and the first clip I will post of Dog Whisperer. Animal lovers, enjoy!
Dog Whisperer is an emmy award winning National Geographic Channel series that premiered in September 13, 2004. Cesar Millan portrays his real life role in rehabilitating and restoring balance to dogs with problems.
Millan’s specialty is working with dogs which are known to be aggressive. Episodes of the program often feature but are not limited to work with an aggressive dog and Millan’s application of rules, boundaries, and limitations. Pack leadership, by all humans who live or work with the dog, is required for the dog to exist in a content, calm state. Millan demonstrates to the owners how to obtain and maintain this.
As part of the show, Millan is shown as someone who owns approximately 50 dogs, including Rottweilers, Pit Bulls and German Shepherds, all of whom coexist in peace, uncaged and unchained. Millan is also an honorary member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP).
