The Chaser’s War on Everything
“Chaser”, or “The War” is my favourite Aussie TV show at the moment. It is a satirical comedy show, which as the title suggests, targets pretty much anything and everything! Nothing is sacred, religion, politics, celebrities, terrorism, and all current affairs. I love satire, and it is a much more intelligent comedy compared to others out there, but I do like other forms of comedy too of course. The Chaser team are hilarious and really go to extremes, risking arrest on a daily basis to make us laugh. I can see that some people could get offended by particular segments that might relate to them, but it is not meant to be taken seriously, and us Aussies like to have a laugh at both others and ourselves! I am going to start posting video clips from the show. If you are not from Australia, you may not understand some of the jokes, as they reference issues or people in Australia, but you should still get a laugh out of it. Well, take off your serious cap, and enjoy!
